I am the principal of Capri Elementary in Encinitas Unified School District. My school offers a Dual Language Immersion program where students are able to learn to be proficient in both Spanish and English. Prior to joining Capri, I was an elementary principal in Oceanside Unified for five years.
I am also a doctoral student in the joint doctoral program at UCSD and CSUSM in educational leadership. I am excited about the possiblities of reforming our educational system in order to truly prepare, support, and challenge our children to becoming postive cointributers to our collective future. I am a wife and mother of three young boys. I see creativity, innovation, and confidence in their eyes and the eyes of the students I serve every day and I am inspired. I believe the work we do in education will change the world!
